Query Related To Leather

Q. What causes colour difference of the leather upper after seaming?

Causes

When using aniline-type leathers, there could be some differences of colour, more or less noticeable, among the various parts of the upper.
This can be due to the fact that leather comes from many lots or from different parts of the same hide having uneven absorption.
Another cause could be the different degrees of stretching which the uppers undergo when they are shaped.

Solutions
If there is a minimum difference in colour, a good uniformity could be obtained by using the DC 4000 coloured creams.
If the colour difference is more evident, it is necessary to spray the upper with the penetrating and uniforming dyes of the SE 5950 series.
