A new dye range for printing polyester - TERASIL® P

Very bright shades, high fastness and wide flexibility are some of the outstanding features of Ciba® TERASIL® P, an innovative range of disperse dyes for printing polyester. The dyes have been especially designed for printing high-quality polyester fashion fabrics. Good sublimation properties during fixation and good washing-off behavior were the main priorities in developing and selecting the dyes. They also have good light, processing and in-use fastness. These characteristics add up to very high reproducibility.

TERASIL P dyes are available as either low-viscosity anionic/nonionic liquids or readily dispersible concentrated powders. Powder and liquid are highly stable for prolonged periods, both in storage and during transport. The liquid formulation is a complete innovation: the dyes are easy to dispense and new-generation dispersants counteract rapid sedimentation. If sedimentation nevertheless occurs, the dispersants ensure that the dyes remain flaky and speck-free and that they readily redisperse. These properties are reflected in the high stability of the dyes during storage and transport and at temperatures fluctuating from below freezing to those experienced in the tropics.
